Description:Position summary: A Simply Mac Master Technician is required to diligently execute the official sales program and all duties described below. The position emphasizes skills in the areas of service, repair, diagnostics, operations, leadership, team development, and sales/ customer service in a retail service environment. The Master Technician will primarily be responsible for one retail location and 1-3 employees within a store and reports to the Service & Training Manager. The Master Technician position is a critical role in the company, and requires a well-rounded and determined individual that will take part in the growth of the company.

Core objective: A Simply Mac Master Technician will deliver thorough and timely troubleshooting, diagnostics and repair for Apple computers and products while fulfilling the Company Mission Statement and Core Values.

Duties:Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Meet or Exceed Sales Goals:
• 45+ hours a week with availability to work retail hours.
• Track daily and month-to-date Revenue and GP of the service department and every employee within the department
• Conduct daily one on ones with subordinates
• Execute the Store Routine thoroughly
• Exceed service performance standard for sales at 100% of plan
• Maintain best in class GSX score
• Monitor and manage employee performance to ensure that each employee is maximizing their sales potential and obtaining the metrics set for each of the top ten categories
• Fulfill the focus of our sales, operations and team development as it pertains to the daily one on ones, weekly meetings and monthly employee evaluations.

Trouble Shooting and Support:
• Provide Product troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair on (but not limited to) the following products:
o Mac OSX
o iLife Suite
o iWork Suite
o Microsoft Office
o Windows Solutions on OSX
o Macbook
o Macbook Pro
o Macbook Air
o iBook
o Powerbook
o iMac
o Mac Pro
o Power Mac
o Mac Mini
o iPod
o iPad
o iPhone

Development of Staff:
• Lead and develop Service employees to effectively fulfill of the Service Division’s vision and objectives.
• Mentor employees in leadership and repair skills through the company’s sales programs– namely the daily one on ones, weekly meetings and monthly employee evaluations.
• Motivate, educate, and train employees on how to fulfill Simply Mac’s mission statement- namely to exceed customer expectation in friendliness, product knowledge, and salesmanship
• Conduct monthly performance evaluations of all employees
• Support all HR, Training, Finance, Marketing, and
Operational initiatives
• Ensure that Simply Mac’s employee philosophy is inherent in all management approaches which is that all subordinates feel that their personal success is paramount in the eyes of their direct supervisor. This “caring” management attitude must be evident in all management activities

Accountability for Daily Operational Activities:
• Ensure that every employee within the store is doing the opening and closing procedures of the routine to uphold store appearance, cleanliness, merchandise and staffing standards
• Monitor department reports weekly
• Count serialized items weekly
• Assure the quality experience as per our Mission Statement of our customers
• Assure uniformity and enforcement of the Policies and Procedures
• Protect the company against fraudulent and harmful activities
• Hire qualified employees that meet Simply Mac’s standards
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications, Job Skills, and Abilities:
• Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to team members
• Expert ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others; conducts working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
• Expert ability to work under demanding time constraints and production goals
• Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
• Possess expert analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
• Proficient ability to model consistently Simply Mac’s commitment to a respectful, diverse, inclusive, and collaborative work environment
• Apple/Mac and technology industry experience
• Ability to become certified with minimal training) in:
o Apple Sales Training Online (ASTO) – Product Professional
o Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT)
• Apple Certified or ability to become certified with minimal training in:
o Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC)
• Minimum 2 years of retail sales experience
• Knowledge of markets and industry trends
• Proficient in all Microsoft applications

Preferred Qualifications:
• 4 or more years of related experience required
• Accredited Bachelor’s required; at least one year of additional related experience may be considered in substitution
