SVP of Retail Sales and Operations

Description:Position summary: The Simply Mac Senior Vice President of Retail Sales & Operations is responsible for the overall management of all retail sales, service & repair, marketing and operations and implementation and achievement of quarterly and annual business objectives. This individual also provides leadership, strategic direction, and works with the company President & CEO and CFO to attain all financial metrics and profitability goals and objectives.

Core objective: To increase shareholder value by representing the best interest of the Company and its employees.
Duties:Business & Sales Trend Financial Analysis
• Reviews sales data and business trends for all retail divisions of the company.
• Participates in weekly sales and operations meetings and provides guidance to senior level sales management; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
• Regularly reviews industry publications, newsletters, newspapers and other media to stay current on business and industry trends.

Employee Supervision
• Meets a minimum of weekly with each direct report to set goals, gauge accountability and keep current on department issues.
• Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops senior managers; oversees establishment of effective schedules and workflow.
• Reviews and analyzes operational reports to ensure company is achieving goals and objectives and develops and implements corrective measures as required.
• Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of senior management; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
• Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
• Plans, prepares agenda and hosts weekly Simply Mac Retail Leadership Meeting which includes representatives accountable to accounting, finance, sales, employee training and operations.
• Plans and prepares agenda and hosts retail segments of Simply Mac Quarterly Business Review Meetings which includes representatives accountable to each Simply Mac department, financial statements, marketing, business development, operations, sales, training and human resources.
• Defines and builds successful management infrastructure and team committed to the business objectives; instills excitement, vision, mission, and motivation in all management teams.
• Establishes company strategy and financial goals and objectives; leads retail senior management team in implementation and achievement of these goals.
• Oversees the company’s financial planning and controls for the retail sales and operations division; oversees preparation and maintenance of all operating and capital budgets.
• Builds creative and effective sales, marketing, and public relations programs for company’s brand management, website and products.
• Seeks feedback from senior management to analyze internal workflows and organizational development and continually develop improvements; ensures communication and information flow throughout the organization is efficiently managed to provide all employees and managers with current, pertinent, job-related information.
• Prepares all required reports and correspondence.
• Oversees all manufacturer, partner and vendor relationships, which includes all aspects of interpersonal relationships, contract negotiation and compensation negotiation.
• Networks with other key Specialists, resellers and retailers, which includes all aspects of interpersonal relationships so to share ideas regarding best practices and business challenges.
• Assigns objectives and monitors quality of work; assures senior management conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.
• Oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as required

Development of Staff
• Demonstrate the shared values and lead by example on a daily basis
• Motivate employees to exceed expectations by promptly rewarding behaviors such as “thinking-outside-of-the-box” and showing initiative
• Interact daily with subordinates in a professional and compassionate manner
• Conduct weekly one-on-ones with each subordinate
• Apply the appropriate stage of leadership based on the employee’s competency level: directing, coaching, supporting, or delegating
• Apply the appropriate level of praise and discipline; document all verbal warnings and disciplinary actions on the Employee Action Form and file with Human Resources
• Conduct weekly team meetings which may include: agenda, new company information / policies, work / project progress, learning activity, and individual employee return and report; review department budget each month
• Set and review quarterly goals with every employee on a timely basis
• Complete a review for each employee on an annual basis

• Proficient on all PC / Microsoft applications and Apple / Mac applications
• Proven leadership and business acumen skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
• Creative, flexible, and innovative team player

Valued but not required skills and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent; MBA preferred
• Ten to fifteen years related experience or equivalent
• Knowledge of Apple products, managed services and computer industry trends helpful

• Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level of the work environment is usually low but some construction tools may be used by the employee or in the immediate vicinity of the employee.
• Travel Requirements: Employee must be willing and able to travel to retail markets to meet the demands of the employees and the business. It is expected that employee will be required to travel about 50% of the time during periods of high growth.
